Metered endpoint-hours

Managed endpoints bill only for the hours they are actually in use. A device that is powered off costs nothing while it is dark, so spare machines, lab gear, and seasonal equipment stop costing you money. Endpoints that temporarily lose connectivity keep metering locally and report usage when they reconnect.

Volume discounts on usage

Volume discounts apply directly to endpoint-hours. The effective rate steps down automatically as your fleet's usage grows, so scaling up never means a linear increase in cost.

Unmanaged and mobile devices

Devices that are discovered and monitored but not fully managed bill at a lower metered rate and are metered as always-on. Mobile devices will meter as always-on as well when MDM ships. Visibility across printers, cameras, switches, NAS, and IoT without paying full price for every node.

Storage, AI, and consumables

Bulk storage, AI usage, and other consumables are metered and billed for exactly what you use, at clear, published rates. Usage is visible in real time, so there are no surprise invoices.

Pricing questions

What does "platform fee plus service usage" mean?

Your bill has two parts: a flat monthly platform fee for your tier, and metered usage for what your fleet actually consumes, including endpoint-hours, bulk storage, and AI usage. Usage is billed at clear, published rates, before applicable taxes and fees.

How are endpoint-hours metered?

A managed endpoint accrues billable hours while it is powered on and the agent is monitoring it. Powered-off devices cost nothing. If an endpoint loses connectivity, the agent keeps metering locally and reports the usage back once it reconnects. Volume discounts apply to endpoint-hours automatically as your fleet's usage grows.

What about unmanaged and mobile devices?

Devices that are discovered and monitored but not fully managed, such as printers, switches, cameras, and IoT, bill at a lower metered rate and are treated as always-on for metering. When MDM ships, mobile devices will also be metered as always-on.

How does the 30-day trial work?

Sign up free with no credit card and use the full platform for 30 days. Trial accounts have caps on endpoint-hours and storage spend to prevent abuse. To keep going after the trial, add a payment method and month-to-month billing begins. Cancel any time.

What are Outpost Depot and Remote Outpost?

Every account runs on a dedicated cloud-hosted instance by default. Outpost Depot lets MSP tier subscribers optionally self-host their online instance on their own infrastructure instead. Remote Outpost is the fully self-hosted, completely offline edition of the platform for air-gapped and high-security environments, licensed on an annual basis.
